To Respond, Connect & Harmonise is to Inspire & be Inspired - Mar 25,2013

What does it mean to be a harmonizer? You can do it with art, or with governance. For me, it comes naturally with words, ideas, relationships, and I sense it in the stars, the forest, on the train, in a café, in the rain. Wherever there is movement and interaction, we can sense the forces at play, and engage in a gentle way. Sensing the music, the tone, the pace, we can join in, connect the dots, ease the tension, or tighten the slack. It is simpler than fight or flight- but most of us react to situations. With an open mind and heart, we can respond, connect and harmonise. It is an art, but still not taught in school! To harmonize is to inspire and be inspired. Fiona McIlroy has written poetry since she was five, and has now published and read on radio. She created a co-operative in far East Gippsland, created National Parks, raised her three children there while teaching, and is now a life coach, facilitator, mediator and community poet, and grand-mother in Canberra. She notices unusual stars, loves trains, talks to anyone, and is often surprised. She also loves to sing in harmony with choirs or with children.
