On the February 11th program I chat with notorious blogger and digital connector, Robyn Hawk. Robyn is still in Tucson where she's been a tireless 'tweeter' of Tucson Gem Show events, hashtag #TucsonGemShow. In a sea of arts and crafts peeps, Robyn is one of the few who actually gets the power and value of interactive digital (aka social) media. She's known for her blogs as "A Fly On The Wall"... and intends to report from a "fly on the wall" view of the things that are important in her life...jewelry, art, knowledge, people, adventure! Long before her current focus, Robyn hauled jewelry around the state from craft fairs to art galleries. Her background includes retail management, non-profit fund & media development, and most recently media & internet development for a national health care company. Today you will find Robyn studying jewelry design, completing courses for graduate gemology credentials from GIA, and working toward an appraiser's license. She enjoys working on freelance PR, social media & marketing projects with an emphasis on the jewelry and gem industries.
